Building a More Inclusive World, One Toy at a Time
At My Family Builders, we believe play shapes how children understand the world. Our toys are designed to help kids explore identity, family, and belonging in a natural, open-ended way.
In 2015, our founder Eze Karpf went looking for toys that truly represented diverse families and found none. No toy reflected multiracial families, same-sex parents, single-parent homes, or blended families. He teamed up with friends and child development experts to change that.
The result was an educational wooden toy that helps young children explore family diversity through play.
My Family Builders continues that mission today.
My Family Builders received the Parents Choice Gold Award and has been covered by the Washington Post, CNN, and Good Morning America. Our toys meet ASTM, CPSIA, and EN71 safety standards and are used in programs run by Bright Horizons, Primrose Schools, Goddard Schools, YMCA, Northeastern University, Penn State, and Erikson Institute.
